Buxton Primary School participated in the Active After School Communities Program (AASC), funded by the Australian Sports Commission, Australian Government, since its inception in 2005. Through the program, students were involved in a range of physical activities such as Zumba, circus skills, gymnastics, cricket, soccer and AFL. Sessions were taken by qualified coaches and a healthy snack was provided at school. The AASC Program was concluded by the Australian Government at the end of 2014.
